Why should you have a professional photographer shoot your wedding day?
This is a question that comes up frequently. The important thing to remember is that wedding photographers are trained to capture every wedding day moment perfectly, some of which may be missed by a budding amateur photographer. The tear in the groom’s eye as he first sees his bride, the look from mum when you’re walking down the aisle and of course the first kiss are some of the briefest but most memorable moments on your wedding day. Booking a professional wedding photographer gives you piece of mind that your whole wedding day story is captured and can be told forever.
When will I meet my wedding day photographer?
At MM PHOTOS you will meet and see the work of the primary photographer for your wedding day in your first studio appointment. This way you can immediately establish a great rapport and be sure that you love their personality as much as you love their beautiful, candid photography.
How many photographers will be there on the day?
There will be two photographers (a primary and secondary) on the day, unless you opt for a shoot only package.
At MM PHOTOS, we work closely with our couples to ensure that your album (just like your wedding) is uniquely you. Our couples enjoy coming to the studio and choosing their favourite selection of images to go into their album as we celebrate with them with a glass of champagne and cheese platter, and a couple of weeks later come back to review and refine the album design with our graphic designer. This process ensures you leave with your perfect album.
Are we involved in the album design process?
Yes. All of our packages include a high and low res edited images on USB. In terms of quantity of photographs taken, we take an unlimited number of photos on the day, but as a rule of thumb our couples usually receive approximately 100 photos per hour.
Do you include a USB of images with your packages?
After your photo and album plan viewing, you can expect all your albums and extras to be ready for collection within 12 weeks.
How long does it take to get our albums and extras back after the wedding?
This is no problem at all. Our only requirement is that MM PHOTOS are the only official wedding photographers hired to shoot the day. This ensures that we can capture your moments without disruption.
Can guests take photos at our wedding?
Yes, we use a contract to both protect our studio and our couples. Our contract is recommended by the AIPP and the terms are standard. We encourage our couples to read the contract thoroughly before signing and welcome any queries you may have.
Do we need to sign a contract?
Rainy or overcast days can produce flattering tones that give very dramatic imagery so rain is nothing to worry about. Two weeks before the big day, you will have a pre-wedding meeting with your photographer where you will discuss wet weather options for your location shoot, and on the day, our photographers will come prepared with fabulous umbrellas.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
Pre-wedding shoots are a great way to get to know your primary photography a little better before the big day.
Do you offer pre-wedding shoots?
We love shooting weddings wherever they may be and our photographers service all areas of Sydney, NSW, Australia and the world.
Do you travel interstate or overseas?
To lock in your day, you just need to pay a non-refundable booking fee of $900. This can be paid by direct deposit, EFTPOS, Visa or Mastercard (2% surcharge on credit cards).
